Our flagship Aspiring Professionals Programme (APP) welcomes a new UK-wide cohort of over 1,500 young people each year and offers free of charge mentoring, university application support, skills sessions and work experience from age 16-17 through to graduate employment. Each young person that joins our programme has the potential and academic ability to flourish in the world of education and work, however they may lack the confidence, encouragement, and professional network to help them succeed.

Whilst our support gives each our young people the opportunity to build valuable skills and knowledge across our competency framework, we know that young people living in more rural areas face additional barriers such as the prohibitive cost or time of travelling to cities for events or work experience compared with their peers who live nearer the opportunities they are interested in pursuing. Therefore, with the support of Catalyst for Impact we look forward to developing our support for young people in rural and post-industrial Scottish communities by developing our digital capabilities both in delivery and across the organisation to better support young people, help them seize new opportunities, build confidence, and realise their potential.
